Network Is mapper colar Coffee
From Geovid Foundation: "Social and Environmental Management for Sustainable Development", we are developing the network of school mappers in the coffee. Our intention is to share with institutions Primary and Secondary education in the region, the Green Map tool as a tool for environmental education. So far, three maps are developing green public schools in Pereira, Colombia: Deogracias Cardona, Southeastern Educational Institute, College of Altagracia Gonzalo Echeverri. The project started from September 2006 in The Educational Institution Gonzalo Mejia Ech everri , this institu tion is characterized as cooperative and enthusiastic with the project. The group has been the group Ecological basis for developing the mapping process. In this institution during the past year managed to give lectures to all teachers in the school of Altagracia, even came over to all, as an activity undertaken by the community aqueduct of this district is involved all mae Stros they are teaching in educational institutions in the districts associated with the aqueduct, an event that was used to spread the Green Map as a methodological tool to recognize the environment. There was such enthusiasm that we raised the need for this project in their schools and colleges, having problems common as water scarcity and similar characteristics as a great natural surroundings, the peasant culture, in short.

The Foundation is now developing a proposal to take forward this idea and of course the network mapper.

The process with the College Deogracias Cardona
Deogracias College manages a group of students, they have been the core group of the mapping process. This school is very interesting in terms of its limits, because one hand has one of the most polluted streams Pereira, La Dulcera, and on the other side are displaced Afro-Colombian community of mainly Choco, who are now living in part of the territory of the College. This has led to conflicts with school, but it is hoped that with the green map process, not only to this special community locate on the map of the school, but starts a discussion on displacement as a reality in Colombia.

The project is being developed for a year (2006), by the team "Bikerraqueros" which is part of our foundation and lead the research on the topic of mobility for the foundation.
